The Wynn Poker Classic – Highlights Week #3

The Wynn Poker Classic is coming to an end. This past week, several events concluded, including the $3,150 No Limit Hold’em tournament and the $1,600 No Limit Hold’em $1 Million GTD. Turnout for the events of the past week was solid, with the guaranteed tournaments seeing a nice increase in the prize pool numbers.

Results of Week #3 of The Wynn Poker Classic

$1,600 NLH – 1 Million GTD

Let’s take a look at the $1,600 No Limit Hold’em first. This event had a buy-in of $1,600 with a prize pool guarantee of $1 million. With 984 players competing, the event saw a solid increase in the guaranteed prize money, with $1,431,720 up for grabs. In the end, it was poker pro, David Pham who earned the first-place finish after defeating Kurt Jewell in heads-up play. Pham earned $240,254 for the win with Jewell taking home $158,250 for second place.

Other Poker Tournament Winners

The $3,150 No Limit Hold’em was another big event on the schedule. A total of 131 players participating in the event, which created a $385,140 prize pool. The winner of this event was Jody Fayant, who earned $102,482 for the first-place finish, defeating Yang Zhang in heads-up play. Zhang earned $83,000 for second place.

Final Tournaments

Another event that finished up last week was the $400 No Limit Hold’em $40K Guaranteed tournament. This event had a turnout of 204 players which surpassed the guarantee by just over $30,000! First place went to Scott Muckey, who earned $18,701 after defeating Joshua Turner in heads-up play. Turner would earn $11,457 after being eliminated from the competition.

The Wynn Poker Classic finishes up with the $400 No Limit Hold’em Survivor $40k GTD which began on the 7th. The $600 No Limit Hold’em $250k GTD started on the same day, and the $400 No Limit Hold’em $40K GTD began on the 11th.
