Bovada Closes Poker Site

Bovada Closes Poker Site

Bovada exited the poker business today.  Poker players were asked by the site to open an account at Ignition Casino last month to stay in action.  Ignition Casino is a skin on the Bodog Poker Network, just as Bovada was.  It is the largest poker network available to US players.

Ignition offers an online casino and poker room.  It does not have a sportsbook.  Bovada continues to offer sports betting and casino games.

Ignition Casino does not accept players from Delaware, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York. Bovada allowed existing players from these states to stay on the site after restrictions went into place.  These grandfathered players are not permitted to create an account Ignition Casino.  There are no other options for Bodog skins for players in these states.  Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey residents have state licensed poker sites.

All of the deposit and withdrawal options are the same at Ignition Casino and Bovada.  Players may deposit by credit card, Bitcoin and cash transfer.  Withdrawals are processed by Bitcoin, check and bank wire.

Bovada and Related Companies Leave Kahnawake Gaming Commission

In other Bovada news, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission revealed that the site voluntarily surrender its gaming license on September 1. Ignition Casino and Slots.lv also relinquished its gaming licenses.  It appears this move was made in anticipation of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission’s agreement with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement to stop allowing its licensees to operate US-facing gaming businesses.
