Two Atlantic City Casinos Close

Atlantic City lost two more casinos this week.  Showboat closed on August 30, while Revel shuttered its doors on September 2.  Atlantic City dropped a poker room with the closure of Showboat.  Revel closed its poker room in 2013.  Neither casino had online gaming operations.

Trump Plaza will close on September 16, 2014.  It does have online gaming operations.  Betfair uses its license.  The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement will allow Betfair to continue operating even after the casino closes.  This appears to be a temporary ruling, however, no date was set for when Betfair must find a new licensing partner.

Full Tilt Poker Claim Deadline Passed

Players that fell victim to the Full Tilt Poker fraud that was discovered after Black Friday can no longer file claims.  The Garden City Group set September 3, 2014 as the deadline for filing any remission requests.  Players that failed to file by that date have lost those funds forever.  Those that have filed claims may check the status and any future announcements here.
