Expert View of Intertops

Intertops was the first sportsbook to accept a bet on the internet.  That was in 1996.  Intertops paid that bet and every one since.  It has one of the best reputations in the online gaming world.

The online poker room at Intertops is small.  It only has a few skins.  There is little promotion of the online poker room at Intertops.  This helps it keep the games soft.

Intertops offers 36% rakeback to players that ask for it.  There is also a 200% up to $1,000 first deposit bonus and frequent reloads.  Intertops support is excellent.  The only negative about Intertops is that its poker software is among the worst in the online poker world.  It is years behind its competitors.

Intertops accepts online poker players from most U.S. states.  The exceptions are Louisiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Missouri, and Washington.

Intertops Poker Summary

Intertops poker tableIntertops is best known as the oldest sports book on the Internet. It accepted the first sports wager in online history on January 17, 1996. Before this, all action was taken over the phone by offshore sports books.

Intertops has a long history in the online poker world. It started out on the Party Poker Network. Party Poker kicked off all skins in 2005. Intertops decided to no longer offer poker and simply became an affiliate for Party Poker. It later joined the Microgaming Poker Network. In 2008, Microgaming blocked all U.S. players. Intertops decided to leave the network and move to the Cake Network where it is today so that it could continue to allow American players. The network is now known as Horizon Poker Network.

Intertops did not accept new U.S. players for nearly four years after Black Friday. In February 2015, it reversed course. Intertops now accepts new U.S. players from 43 states. The excluded states are Louisiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Missouri, and Washington.

Have been with Intertops for well over 10 years – never had a problem
SportsBookReview User

I receive a check when requested monthly between 5-12 days with no exceptions. 10/10 for payment processing. 9/10 for tim okeefe, the sponsored “pro” who feels the need to berate other players in low stakes tournaments and low stakes cash games.

To the person who said support is not helpful, I have no idea what they’re talking about. The times I have contacted support, they have been timely in response and very helpful. Perhaps the person contacting support was rude and impatient.

No Limit Texas Hold’em is available in limits up to $1/$2. Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha High/Low games are available up to $.50/$1 blinds. There are fewer cash games on Intertops than most other Horizon Poker Network skins as higher limit games are ring-fenced from the network.

There is sit and go action available up to $20. Multi table poker tournaments are also spread with buyins up to $20. There are few guaranteed tournaments over $1,000 due to the small player pool.

Has There Ever Been a Scandal at Intertops?

Intertops is one of the few online poker rooms in the world that has never had a scandal.

Intertops Sportsbook

Intertops accepted the first sports bet in the history of the internet. This occurred in January 1996. The wager was made on a soccer match. The bettor took a large favorite that won. The winning bet paid about $2.

Most of the sportsbooks that hit the scene in the early days of online gambling have long since failed. That is not the case with Intertops. This sportsbook has a spotless reputation. All winning players receive payouts quickly. No legitimate withdrawal request has ever been refused by Intertops in its more than 20 years in online sports betting business.

Intertops offers the typical sports on its wager menu. Football, basketball, hockey, baseball and soccer are the main sports to bet on at Intertops. Bettors will also find alpine skiing, boxing, mixed martial arts, auto racing, politics and entertainment options. There are many other seasonal events on the board throughout the year at Intertops. Bettors may choose between straight bets, parlays and teasers. Futures and props are available on select events.

Intertops Sports Deposit Bonus

There are three first deposit bonuses at Intertops. There is a 200% up to $50 offer with the code ROOKIE200. Players must wager the deposit and bonus eight times to clear it. The bonus code ROOKIE100 will trigger a 100% up to $100 first deposit bonus. The deposit and bonus must be wagered six times to clear this offer. The bonus code ROOKIE50 gives a player a 50% up to $200 bonus. The wager requirement for this offer is four times the deposit and bonus. Players may only accept one of the above first deposit bonuses.
