New Jersey Online Poker Deposits

New Jersey online poker players have several deposit options.  Gaming regulations require all gaming sites to offer cash deposits at the related casino cage.  There are also several other options available.  While patrons must be in New Jersey at the time of wager, players do not have to be in New Jersey to request a withdrawal.  That part of the cashier is available to all players regardless of location. Here are the easiest ways to make a New Jersey online poker deposit.

New Jersey Online Poker Credit Card Deposits

All New Jersey sites accept Visa and Mastercard for deposits.  While most Mastercard transactions are successful, the rate of acceptance for Visa is lower.  About 70 percent of credit and debit cards are approved. All credit cards used for deposits are processed as a cash advance.  Debit card transactions are processed as normal.

Electronic Checks

Electronic checks are offered by all New Jersey sites.  The transactions are processed directly from a player’s bank account.  The player enters the information from the bottom of a check on a secure site and the money is removed.  Most sites also offer this option as a withdrawal.

Electronic checks are often available for withdrawal.  Players must provide a bank statement to the online poker room before an electronic check withdrawal may be initiated.

eWallets

Skrill

Skrill is the only approved ewallet that is currently operating in the New Jersey online gaming industry.  It was once known as Moneybookers.  It is used by most gaming sites throughout the world, although New Jersey is the only state where Skrill gaming transactions are approved.  Party Poker, Pokerstars andBetfair accept Skrill.

Neteller

Neteller is accepted by Caesars, Harrah’s, WSOP, PokerStars and 888.  Players may use Visa and Mastercard for deposit.  A debit card is provided for withdrawals.

PayNearMe

PayNearMe is a cash service that allows players to deposit up to $500 in a single transaction.  All New Jersey 7-11s offer PayNearMe.  Borgata and PokerStars accept PayNearMe.  It was once offered by Ultimate Poker, which left the New Jersey market in October 2014.

PayPal

PayPal is now available at poker and casino sites under the Caesars Interactive group.  This includes WSOP.com, 888, Caesars Casino and Harrah’s.  Players may use PayPal funds that came from a bank account or existing balance.  Credit and debit cards may not be used for PayPal deposits to New Jersey sites.

Casino Cage Transactions

All New Jersey online poker sites are required to offer cash deposits and withdrawals at casino cages.  Each site has its unique Atlantic City partner.  Here is a list of the partnerships where cash deposits may be made:

  • Borgata Poker/Party Poker – Borgata
  • 888/WSOP – Bally’s
  • PokerStars – Resorts

There are some sites that only offer casino games.  Here is a list of those partnerships where cash deposits may be made:

Checks by Mail

All sites except PokerStars will mail players a check upon request.

Prepaid Debit Card

Borgata and PokerStars accept its own prepaid debit cards.  It is a prepaid Discover card under the Borgata and PokerStars brands.  It may be funded by Visa, Mastercard, Discover or bank transfer.  Players may withdraw cash from ATMs when a cashout is requested.  Money may also be transferred to a bank account through an electronic transfer.
